  • Overview

    We are currently seeking an entry level Project Manager to assist and manage bidding, design, project schedules, pre-con meetings, along with miscellaneous construction management tasks. This position will report to the Vice President of Refrigeration at DEEM and have the opportunity to learn and advance as skills develop. We are looking for a candidate that is trainable, has a high desire to learn complex commercial/industrial systems and projects, and is looking to succeed in the construction industry.

    DEEM, LLC is a commercial mechanical and electrical company offering HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration, Industrial Piping, Building Automation, and Sheet Metal Installation and services. We are centrally located in Indianapolis, Indiana with satellite offices throughout the Midwest down to the southeastern United States.

    Responsibilities

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Bachelors degree in Construction Management preffered
    • Project Management intern experience preferred
    • Ability to analyze and understand blueprints, specs and bidding documents
    • Knowledge of the construction process including change orders, RFI, RFP, etc.
    • Coordinate internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of assigned projects
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
    • Collaborate with prefabrication and design departments
    • Track and monitor in detail the development of assigned projects
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
    • Report and escalate to management as needed
    • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and/ or General Contractors
    • When necessary, estimate change orders for assigned projects
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
    • Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.

    Qualifications

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must have a clean driving record and possession of valid driver’s license
    • Must be willing and able to pass a drug screen and background check
