Overview

DEEM, LLC is a commercial contractor and service company offering HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration, Industrial Piping, Building Automation and Sheet Metal Installation and Services.

DEEM is currently looking for an AutoCAD Draftsman/Designer/ BIM Coordinator to perform a wide variety of drafting duties that utilize Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD MEP in developing design, penetration, shop, coordination and production drawings at our corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The candidate will prepare preliminary and final coordination drawings of projects, determine feasibility, production, applications, and generate accurate detailed shop and record drawing data.

Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3 to 5 years HVAC drafting / design and BIM experience
  • Autodesk, AutoCAD MEP and Revit proficient
  • Read and interpret architectural, structural, civil/site and Mechanical HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Fire Protection drawings
  • Produce construction design drawings utilizing drafting software.
  • Familiarity with current architectural and MEP building codes
  • Accurate field documentation and verification of existing conditions
  • Prepare shop, coordination and penetration drawings
  • Generate design/coordination RFI’s for engineers, project managers (PM) and general contractors (GC)
  • Performs regular computer software and AutoCAD maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting
  • Maintains up-to-date working and technical knowledge of all trades and codes
  • Provide internal support to Project Managers and additional personnel
  • Active participation in projects from creation to record drawing status
  • BIM coordination (Level: 100-400)

Qualifications

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a clean driving record and possession of valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to pass a drug screen and background check
