Overview

DEEM is looking for a creative and detailed Intermediate Level Electrical Designer. This person would be responsible for designing and developing electrical power and lighting systems, using the methods prescribed by DEEM’s electrical team. This includes being responsible for the production of computer drafted construction plans and documents, based on directions and markups given by the senior designers on the electrical team.

 

DEEM, LLC is a commercial mechanical and electrical company offering HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration, Industrial Piping, Building Automation, and Sheet Metal Installation and services. We are centrally located in Indianapolis, Indiana with satellite offices throughout the Midwest down to the southeastern United States.

 

Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-4 years of electrical system design and construction experience is required
  • Experience must include power and lighting systems for commercial buildings
  • Associates degree in a field related to electrical design and drafting is preferred, but not required
  • Must have a working knowledge of Autodesk products, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
  • Must have a basic knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), and the ability to perform and apply basic electrical calculations as part of the design process
  • A basic knowledge of other pertinent buildings codes is preferred
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of interacting with clients, project managers, and team members in a professional manner

Qualifications

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a clean driving record and possession of valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Willing to Travel, work shifts and/or night work
